New Year’s Resolution: Be more like Len Peters.
Protecting the marine environment (and all environments really) starts with US (you and I) making better choices and spreading our message.
You don’t need to start a beach walking campaign or educate in schools. but you can definitely start changing at home from the products you use and how you share your passion.
There is always a debate when it comes to animals and tourism, but when you have a species dying out and an economic solution for locals by bringing in tourism, I think the choice is easy. I am so happy to see how successful the ecotourism industry is in helping leatherbacks in Trinidad, and I personally would be interested to see it (although I would make mention of using flash with a nesting turtle, pregnant women don’t need that).
